ERIKS North America to Display Sealing Technologies and Solutions at AFPM Conference and Exhibition
Advanced Sealing also will present a professional development seminar

PITTSBURGH, PA -April 24, 2017 – ERIKS North America and Advanced Sealing will exhibit a full offering of proven sealing solutions for the refining industry at booth #961 during the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers’ (AFPM) 2017 Reliability & Maintenance Conference and Exhibition. The conference will take place from May 23–26, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Advanced Sealing also will co-present a professional development seminar, titled “Obtaining Leak-Free Operation from Bolted Connections.

ERIKS North America will display a variety of innovate sealing technologies and other value-added solutions for the refining industry, including the ALKY-ONE™ gasket. The ALKY-ONE™ gasket is the industry’s leading technology for combatting flange erosion and corrosion in hydrofluoric acid alkylation units (HF units)—one of the most critical sealing applications in the oil-refining industry. “Obtaining Leak-Free Operation from Bolted Connections is a professional development seminar that will be co-presented by David Clover, Advanced Sealing, and Dave Reeves, Sealing and Bolting Technologies LLC. The presentation will discuss common causes of flange leakage, as well as the simple engineering, material, and procedural changes that will provide reliable, leak-free performance. David Clover says the focus of the presentation is to provide participants with the tools and resources to be able to quickly incorporate these vital improvements into their facilities. “The presentation will cover optimal gasket seating stresses and pipe flange stud stresses, and review tools for easily analyzing operational gasket loads on all code flanges, Clover says. “We also will discuss the latest proposed revisions to ASME’s B16.20 specification for spiral-wound gaskets so that end-users can adapt to these upcoming changes.
